Admin./ biographical historyPeter Mere Latham was a Physician. He was a student at Brasenose College, Oxford, and graduated with A.B. 24th May, 1810, A.M. 28th April, 1813, M.B. 20th April, 1814, and M.D. 29th November, 1816. He later became a pyhsician to Middlesex Hospital in 1815.

Scope and ContentThe volume contains Peter Mere Latham's manuscript notes of lectures given by John Abernethy. At the beginning of the volume, on the inside front cover, Latham has written the following: "In the following pages I have neither given the transcript nor the substance of Mr Abernethy's Lectures, but have chiefly noted those observations which were original to me when I heard them, and very little more. PML 1813."
